Clare Seal is the creator of the My Frugal Year Instagram account, founder of The Financial Wellbeing Forum and author of Real Life Money (Headline 2020), The Real Life Money Journal (Headline 2020) and Five Steps To Financial Wellbeing (Headline 2022). However, she hasn't always been the frugal expert she is today. 

In March 2019, Clare found herself struggling with a large amount of personal debt, with no assets or financial safety net. Since then, she has rebuilt her relationship with money from the ground up, growing a community of 80k people on Instagram and writing for many national publications in the process. Now, Clare works with individuals and teams to address the deeper causes of a problematic relationship with money, giving guidance on resolving money worries for good.
